Pretty Litter Honest Review

TDLR: if convenience and your cat’s health are high on your list of priorities, Pretty Litter may be just what you’ve been looking for.

Unless you live in a remote village somewhere or are allergic to the internet, there’s a good chance you’ve seen or heard of Pretty Litter. That’s because this innovative cat litter has been going viral, taking social media and the internet by storm.

But what exactly is it? And is it worth the cost? We decided to find out, so that you don’t have to. Keep reading for our unbiased Pretty Litter review.

What is Pretty Litter?

Pretty Litter is an innovative brand of cat litter with unique properties that can help you monitor certain aspects of your cat’s health.

Cats are notoriously skilled at hiding injuries or illnesses. Since any show of weakness could be a death sentence in the wild, this trait was crucial for survival. But like most defense mechanisms from the bush, it does more harm than good in the domestic setting.

Pretty Litter can let you know when something is wrong. Unlike traditional clay litter, Pretty Litter’s color-changing technology will alert you when a potential issue is detected. This way you can seek help before it becomes a more urgent medical situation.

Pretty Litter is made from clean, effective minerals (silica crystals) that help control odor. It is also lightweight and 99% dust-free.

The Good

There were a number of things about Pretty Litter that we really liked:

Health-monitoring Technology: Because cats have a natural tendency to try and hide any potential weakness (aka injury or illness), it can be instrumental in the early detection of certain health problems.

Convenience: Say goodbye to lugging heavy, unwieldly bags of litter from the store to your home. With the convenience of home delivery, you don’t have to worry about going anywhere when it’s time for more. Simply toss the used stuff and pour in a fresh, clean bag. Voila.

Performance: All the health benefits and convenience in the world can’t make up for poor performance where it matters most. We were pleasantly surprised with how it stacked up to traditional brands. Compared to clay, it is low-dust, lightweight, and better at trapping odor.

The Bad

You get what you pay for: Like most high-quality products, Pretty Litter is not cheap. That said, it’s not terribly expensive when you consider all the benefits vs. traditional clay litter. Combined with the convenience of having it delivered to your home, we felt it was a good value overall.

Tracking: Although it tracks far less than traditional litter, Pretty Litter can stick to some surfaces due to its highly absorbent nature. However, it is easy to wipe off with a damp cloth or towel. It is also harder to see on the floor than other litters thanks to its clear-ish color, though this could be either good or bad, depending how you look at it.

The Verdict

Providing the absolute best for your cat is never cheap, but almost always worth it – Pretty Litter is no exception.

Despite the marginally higher cost vs. clay litter, when you factor in its health-monitoring qualities and convenience, Pretty Litter is a much better value. Furthermore, it could save you a ton of money down the road in avoided vet bills from early detection of certain health problems. Not to mention, your kitty’s life.

Last but not least, my cats seem to like it to. Switching litter can be challenging and you always want to do it mindfully, for obvious reasons. But this was a breeze! I barely finished emptying the bag when my cats showed up, eager to do their business (see photo evidence above).

Overall, my cats and I agree that Pretty Litter is an excellent product. It is a great way to monitor their health without sacrificing performance where it matters most. And the convenience of having it delivered more than justifies the slightly higher price tag.

Trust us when we say, give it a try – your cats will thank you later!
