Meet Chad

Hi there, I’m Chad, the cat dad behind The Cat Chaddy. What began with one rescue cat changing my life, has grown into a movement: helping indoor cats everywhere live happier, more enriched lives. If your cat is bored, under-stimulated, or sprinting laps at 3am, you’re in the right place. The fastest way in is the indoor cat boredom guide, or grab the free Indoor Cat Enrichment Starter Kit and I’ll send you the essentials.

I don’t recall his joke – but clearly this was one funny goat.

A Cat Daddy is Born

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a special relationship with animals.

I’m always the person at the party who the dogs immediately run up to and greet. So many times have I heard how someone’s cat “never acts like this with strangers” that I’ve long lost count. And wherever I go, wild animals are chomping at the bit to introduce themselves.

So you might be surprised to learn that I didn’t have many positive interactions with pets growing up. It wasn’t until my late twenties that I begrudgingly agreed to adopt my first cat, Gigasaurus (AKA “Jigga”), who ultimately changed my life and made me the crazy cat dad that I am today. Oh, the things we do for love… You can meet the whole crew here.

What I Do Here

Indoor cats are safe, loved, and very often bored out of their minds. They still carry the instincts of a wild hunter, and when those instincts have nowhere to go, you get the 3am zoomies, the over-grooming, and the ankle ambushes. The fix isn’t more discipline, it’s better enrichment.

That’s what The Cat Chaddy is built around. I break down the play, environment, and routine changes that turn a restless indoor cat into a content one, and I test the gear so you don’t waste money on toys your cat ignores. A few of our most-used guides:

Beyond the blog, a community of 220k+ cat people across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and beyond keeps this movement growing every day.

Our Mission

As passionate as we are about helping cat guardians, the primary objective of The Cat Chaddy is to save the lives of 1M+ cats.

We will accomplish this through various activities and community outreach that will evolve over time. This includes: education, volunteering, fundraising, TNR, financial contributions to various animal welfare organizations, and of course, fostering / adopting rescues.

One of our core beliefs is that every being on this planet is special, and deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, and compassion. Although our focus is primarily on cats, we feel just as strongly about every animal, regardless of its species. If that resonates, here’s how you can help.

Our Promise

We promise to only promote products that we personally use (or have used) from brands that we trust. If you are reading this then you are already a part of our extended family. The health, safety, and welfare of your pet is our number one priority. When I recommend something in a roundup, it’s because it earned its place.
