Hi, I’m Chad, the cat dad behind The Cat Chaddy.
What began with one rescue cat changing my life has grown into a movement: helping indoor cats everywhere live happier, more enriched lives.

A Cat Dad Is Born
I didn’t have many good experiences with pets growing up, which surprises people, because animals seem to pick me out of every crowd. Dogs at parties make a beeline for me, and I’ve lost count of the times someone swore their cat “never acts like this with strangers.”
In my late twenties I begrudgingly adopted my first cat, Gigasaurus (AKA “Jigga”), from a shelter. She changed my life and made me the crazy cat dad I am today. She also taught me the hard way: I didn’t understand enrichment back then, and I didn’t start real playtime until she was much older. Everything on this site is what I wish I’d known for her.
Today the house belongs to Arya and Fawn, a bonded pair of shelter rescues and the real bosses around here. Meet the whole crew.
What I Do Here
Indoor cats are safe, loved, and very often bored out of their minds. They still carry a hunter’s wiring, and when those instincts have nowhere to go you get midnight zoomies, nonstop yowling, and a basket of untouched toys. The fix isn’t more discipline. It’s better enrichment.
