We featured this in a post about budget friendly cat toys earlier this year but its been on our radar for quite some time.
It was first recommended to us by a friend who promised it’s “the best $5 (actually slightly less as of today) you’ll ever spend on your cat”. After getting our paws on one, we do not disagree. Super simple design – a few pieces of cardboard on a thick metal wire.
Although The Cat Dancer isn’t built to last like some higher priced options, it provides an excellent bang for your buck. At < $5, it’s one of the most affordable cat toys we’ve found.
Best Cat Stocking Stuffer Idea #2: Smarty Kat Catnip
When it comes to both versatility and affordability, catnip is hard to beat.
While it’s true that only 50-70% of cats demonstrate a strong, positive reaction, it’s inexpensive enough to give it a shot. Try gently rolling a pinch between your fingers to release the oils, and then sprinkle anywhere you want to direct your cat’s attention.
